ULMS To Sanction Super Late Models Dave Kittey Memorial
 
LATROBE, PA (July 17, 2024): Finally, the race we’ve all been waiting for, the Jay’s Automotive ULMS Racing Series, brings the robust Super Late Models to the Latrobe Speedway for the Dave Kittey Memorial.
 
Dave Kittey was involved in auto racing from a young age. His father owned race cars and promoted race tracks. Dave Kittey loved the sport and never took a break from it until his passing on August 23, 2022.
 
Latrobe Speedway, formerly known as Schmuckers Speedway, the track that Dave’s family once promoted, will honor Dave Kittey with the Dave Kittey Memorial on Saturday, July 20, at 7 pm.
The Jay’s Automotive ULMS Racing Super Late Models return to Latrobe to be part of this celebration of life for the former Co-Publisher and Editor of RPM Racing News. Kittey was a voting member of the National Dirt Late Model Fall of Fame, and RPM Racing News presented the Late Model Driver of the Year Award.
 
Dave Kittey, a passionate fan of Super Late Model racing, had dedicated many years to traveling to the biggest events, showcasing his love for the sport.
It’s only fitting that the Dave Kittey Memorial be a Super Late Model race at Latrobe Speedway.
 
The 30-lap, $5,000-to-win feature will be part of the Mid-Season Championship night for the track’s weekly divisions. Special monetary awards will be up for grabs for the Super Late Models.
Along with the Jay’s Automotive ULMS Racing Series, Super Late Models will be the K2 Engineering FASTrak Pro Late Models, the Joe’s Body Shop & Towing Pure Stocks, the Special T Metals LLC Modified 4 Cylinders, and the Marilungo Disposal LLC Strictly Stock 4 Cylinders, will be competing on DOUBLE POINTS night.
 
The Kidz Klub’s activity will be a blindfold obstacle race with the drivers’ help. Kids are encouraged to be at the pavilion by 5:10 pm.
 
Pit gates open at 3 pm, and spectator gates open at 5 pm. Please arrive early to ensure that you get your favorite seats. Adult general admission is $25. Seniors and military are $22, and kids 7-11 are $15. The younger set (children ages six and under) are free. Pit passes are $40, while Youth pit passes are $25.
