Pre-Race Release for Saturday, September 21, Latrobe Speedway Fall Fest Night 2
LATROBE, PA (September 18, 2024): Night 2 of Latrobe Speedway’s Fall Fest brings the curtain down on the 2024 season with the Jay’s Automotive ULMS Racing Series Super Late Models as the headline division, with the $5,000 to-win Ron Schmucher Memorial.
Also on Night 2 of Fall Fest will be the Joe’s Body Shop and Towing Pure Stocks, the PA Thunder on Dirt Vintage Modified Series, and the Crown Vic Northeast Series.
Night 2 of Fall Fest features the ULMS Super Late Models returning for the Ron Schmucker Memorial—a 30-lap, $5,000-to-win event to close our 2024 season at Latrobe Speedway.
The last time the “Supers” visited Latrobe Speedway for the Dave Kittey Memorial, Alex Ferree in the #1 Cochran Rocket XR1 took home $4,000.
At the Kittey Memorial, Ferree, Jared Miley, and Gregg Satterlee were swapping positions early in the 30-lap ULMS feature before Satterlee suffered a flat right rear tire late in the race. The feel-good story of the Dave Kittey Memorial was Dan Angelicchio’s run from fiftieth to third at the finish. Can Jared “the Jet” Miley even the score, or will Satterlee pick up a win so close to home?
What about the ULMS regulars like the Chew on This-Jerky (ROTY) and championship point leader Michael Lake? With one win this season on the tour, Lake could boost his 82-point lead over Logan Zarin going into Fall Fest with two races remaining.
The Joe’s Body Shop and Towing Pure Stocks are led by the 2024 Track Champion, Jeremy Zufall. Local racer Wally Stock is looking for another win with the PA Thunder on Dirt Vintage Modified Series. The Crown Vics Northeast Series makes its Fall Fest debut.
