Fan Appreciation Night on Nostalgia Night on Saturday, July 29
LATROBE, PA (July 25, 2023) Fan Appreciation Night has been rescheduled for Saturday, July 29. Along with Nostalgia Night, it promises to be a night of action, giveaways, and prizes.
Fans will meet their favorite drivers on the front stretch, get autographs, and take photos. Fans will enter the track from turn 1.
Schedule to appear are the Vintage Modifieds, the K2 Engineering Crate Late Models, Joe’s Auto Body & Towing Pure Stocks, the Special T Metals LLC Modified 4 Cylinders, and the Dean Pollock Hobby Stocks.
We will have giveaways, prizes, and Chinese Auction baskets on Saturday.
There will be kids’ baskets, a Lottery Ticket basket, a basket with Summertime items, a Back-to-School basket, a basket with assorted Wines, and even a basket for Pets. We have a TV and lots more…
General Admission prices; Adults: $15, Seniors: $12, Military: $12, Kids 7-11: $10, and Kids 6 and under are always free.
PIT Gate prices; Adults:$35, and Youth: $20.
PIT Gates open at 4 p.m., the Grandstands at 5 p.m., and FAST-FIVE Racing at 7.
The Latrobe Speedway Track Championship points race is heating up as the season’s chase winds down.
In the K2 Engineering Crate Late Models, Michael Duritsky holds an 18-point lead over the surging Troy Shields and Ryan Frazee. Only 7 points separate the duo from Jeff Ferguson and Marino Angelicchio. Joe Zulisky is 6th, with John Over, Jay McCracken, Braeden Dillinger, and Clinton Hersh rounding out the top 10.
In Joe’s Auto Body & Towing Pure Stocks, EJ Rozak, with the win in the Bill Finlay Memorial, closed the gap between him and Anthony Monteparte to only 40 points. Corey Faris is third with 178 points. Jim Zufull and John Cain round out the top-5.
The Special T Metals LLC Modified 4 Cylinders have a close battle for the top, with Paul Koffler III winning last week. The ‘Cobalt Cowboy’ Colton McNaney has a 15-point cushion between himself and Koffler III. Jeremy Grubbs is third, while Shawn Ghrist and Dale Grubbs complete the top 5.
Oh, we have a race for the Marilungo Disposal LLC Strictly Stock 4 Cylinder title, as Justin Conners sits one point ahead of Brian Noel.
Then we have a battle for third place as Mark Shaffer has a four-point lead over Dylan Nedrow. Emily Moyer holds a one-point lead over CJ Parrill for the fifth position.
