Latrobe Speedway Fan Appreciation Night Up Next
Latrobe, PA (July 25, 2024): Fan Appreciation Night on Saturday, July 27, at Latrobe Speedway is one of the most anticipated nights of racing every season.
Unfortunately, the news of Mr. Vince Masi Sr. ‘s passing yesterday has dampened the anticipation for the event. Mr. Masi’s son, Vince Jr, drives the No. 61 in the K2 Engineering FASTrak Pro Late Model division.
Our thoughts, prayers, and condolences are extended to Mr. Masi’s family and friends.
Kathy Bates of SNB Promotions posted this message on the track’s Facebook page Wednesday evening.
“It is with a very heavy heart that I write this, Today we learned of the sudden passing of one of our own Mr Vince Masi Sr. The Masi family has raced with Latrobe over the past 5 years, and he will truly be missed. He was one of the nicest, kindest gentleman that you could ever meet, he was always willing to lend a hand wherever it was needed and never came to a race without making sure he said hello and asking how we were. It saddens me knowing this weekend is Fan Appreciation Day and that was one of his family’s favorite race days. Please keep his family in your thoughts and prayers and hug your loved ones a little tighter. RIP Vince; you will forever be missed.”
“This Saturday, Fan Appreciation will be in Honor of Vince Masi Sr.
We will do a moment of silence while we have all the fans and cars out on the front stretch of the speedway. I know the drivers love this night, but I always see the Masi family pull hard to make the fans super happy,” said Dennis Bates of SNB Promotions.
Fans will be given a ticket when they enter Latrobe Speedway to enter one of the four Grand Prizes awarded on Saturday. There will be prizes for fans of all ages. The FAST-FIVE race teams always step up on fan appreciation night with giveaways.
The K2 Engineering FASTrak Pro Late Models, the Joe’s Body Shop & Towing Pure Stocks, the Special T Metals LLC Modified 4 Cylinders, the Marilungo Disposal LLC Strictly Stock 4 Cylinders, and the Hobby Stocks will be on the card.
There will be NO Kidz Klub due to Fan Appreciation Night. Kidz Klub returns on Aug 3.
Pit gates open at 4 pm, and spectator gates open at 5 pm. Please arrive early to ensure that you get your favorite seats. Adult general admission is $15. Seniors and military are $12, and kids 7-11 are $10. The younger set (children ages six and under) are free. Pit passes are $35, while Youth pit passes are $20.
