IMPENDING RAIN CANCELS SATURDAY’S PROGRAM;

ULMS SUPER LATE MODELS NEXT

LATROBE, PA (July 15, 2023) Latrobe Speedway Officials made another tough call to cancel Fan Appreciation Night and the Ron Schmucker Memorial on Saturday, July 15. It is the sixth rainout of the season.

Both events will be rescheduled for a future date.

“The threat of Thunderstorms at about the time fans would be on the front stretch getting autographs from the drivers was too much of a risk to take,” Promoter Dennis Bates said. “We know how much the fans and the teams enjoy the interaction on Fan Appreication Night, but it was potentially too dangerous.”

Coming up next Saturday, July 22, will be the first-ever appearance of the Jay’s Automotive ULMS Super Late Model Racing Series for a 30-lap, $ 3,500-to-win feature, and $450 to start the race.

Appearing with the ULMS Super Late Models on Saturday, July 22, will be the K2 Engineering Crate Late Models, Joe’s Auto Body & Towing Pure Stocks for the makeup Bill Finley Memorial, the Special T Metals LLC Modified 4 Cylinders, and the Marilungo Disposal LLC Strictly Stock 4 Cylinders.

General Admission prices on Sound of Thunder Super Late Mode FAST-FIVE Racing Night are; Adults: $20, Seniors: $17, Military: $17, Kids 7-11: $12, and Kids 6 and under are always free.

PIT Gate prices; Adults:$40, and Youth: $20.

PIT Gates open at 4 p.m., the Grandstands at 5 p.m., and FAST-FIVE Racing at 7.
